The Boat Parade will arrive in Spring Bayou around 8:00 pm. At this festive viewing spot where the boat parade starts, there will be a DJ, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, interactive entertainers, and food/beverage concessions. The parade will begin promptly at 6pm just south of the Treasure Island Causeway. The route travels south, and into the fingers of Paradise Island, back past Treasure Bay Golf & Tennis and through the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge around 7pm, through each of the fingers of Isle of Palms and each of the fingers through Isle of Capri, and finishes at John’s Pass at approximately 8:30 - 9pm. Plainfield has been her home since 2012, where she resides with her husband and three adorable children. A University of Illinois alum, Katie began her career as a high-school math teacher and volleyball coach at Neuqua Valley. When her little ones came into the picture, she transitioned into the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom. Katie and her husband also own a small business called Board & Brush, a DIY art studio. From their inaugural location in Oswego, they've since expanded to include studios in Naperville, Downers Grove, and St. Charles. Though juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship keeps her on her toes, Katie wouldn't have it any other way—except, perhaps, for a little more sleep and a lot more coffee! When she's not crafting wooden projects or wrangling her kids, Katie enjoys leisurely strolls with her two Yorkie puppies, sun-soaked days by the pool, and cozying up with a good movie.
