Strawberry Festival at Windy Acres Farm

LOCATION:  37W446 Fabyan Parkway, Geneva

DATES:  June 8, 9, 15 & 16, 2024 

FEATURES: 

Brand New this season is our Camila’s Candy Shop, Lucy’s Scoops Ice Cream Truck and our Silo – a great place to lounge the day with a refreshing drink! 

We are pleased to host “Wheels of Agriculture”, a fun family interactive quiz show game! 
(*not all customers will be contestants, but will have the opportunity to watch in on the fun!) 

During Strawberry Fest, we will be grilling out – Brats, Burgers and Fresh Sweet Corn (10 am – 5 pm). Our Beer Garden will be open (10 am – 5 pm) and there will also be live music or DJ!

Enjoy a romantic evening amongst our 500,000 tulips, sipping cocktails with your picnic meal
while listening to the band play at sunset.

Our partner, Cinder and Vinegar Photography, will be on site to capture couples in the tulip fields
and will provide a complimentary photo memento of the evening.  
This is a private, after-hours adult-only event.  Tickets are limited and available online in advance only.

Join us for an after-hours Midwest Tulip Fest experience and walk amongst the 500,000 flowers!
The adults-only event ticket includes one drink ticket per person valid at our Farmyard Bar
and a vase for you to fill with five beautiful blooms you select & cut straight from the field!
Our musical entertainment will set the mood and a selection of local food trucks will be on-hand if you’re feeling hungry. 


All that, combined with the wonderful sunset, will truly be a night to remember!

Midwest Tulip Fest

FEATURES: 

Over the past few years, we have planted nearly 500,000 tulip bulbs across 7 acres of our farm. These beautiful flowers stay dormant all winter and pop up in the spring to bring a vibrant mixture of colors to our farm. Mother nature tells the flowers when to bloom, so keep an eye on our bloom-o-meter to find the perfect time to visit.

The flower fields are fully accessible for strolling and taking those perfect pictures. We know you can’t resist bringing some of that beauty home, so we have specific fields set aside for you to cut and purchase your own tulips.

Not only is the tulip field ready for your visit, but this is also a great time to enjoy the warm weather and outdoor activities! Admission to the Midwest Tulip Fest also includes access to some of our featured attractions on the FunFarm, so be sure to plan for a whole day of fun! On the weekends come enjoy some live music, and grab a bite from one of our food options

An event unlike any other… we are bringing the Dino Farm Adventure to you! Our farm is transporting back in time to bring you over 20 life-sized dinosaur animatronics for an experience you will never forget.

While dinos have been extinct for millions of years now, these ‘fearfully great lizards’ still fascinate and excite many. Paleontologist are continuing to find fossils all around the world, and you may even dig up some fossils on the farm.

Dino conservationists and experts will be on site to provide entertainment and dino facts 7 days a week. You get the chance to meet our friendly triceratops and adorable baby dinosaurs throughout your adventure with us. Not only will you visit the dinosaurs, but you can enjoy our featured FunFarm attractions, delicious food options, and more! You can even take home a prehistoric souvenir to remind you of your time in the Mesozoic era.

Swedish Days & Parade

LOCATION:  On Third Street and adjacent streets

DATES:  June 19 - 23, 2024

FEATURES:  In 2024 it will be held June 19-23.  Geneva Swedish Days is over 70 years old and celebrates the heritage of Swedish immigrants who settled in the area.  Craft beer tent, a carnival, a Kids’ Day, nightly entertainment and a parade are part of the festivities. Merchants host special sales and in-store events, as well as sponsoring main festival programs and donating in-kind services. Food stands throughout the downtown area tempt visitors with Swedish and American menus.

Geneva Arts Fair

LOCATION:  On Third Street

DATES: July 27 - 28, 2024 from 10am - 5pm

FEATURES: For 20 years, the juried Geneva Arts Fair has risen in attendance and notoriety. The fine arts show showcases over 155 fine artisans from around the country in a host of mediums from 10 am-5 pm. Historic downtown Geneva serves as a picturesque backdrop for the outdoor fine arts show on Third Street in Geneva.

FEATURES: 

Geneva restaurants create an array of specialties under an outdoor tent at the “Flavor Fare” partnered with wine and live musical entertainment. An arts and crafts show, horse-drawn carriage rides and several exceptional wine tasting and dinner events also take place around the historic downtown.

INSIDER TIPS: Purchase tasting tickets in advance directly from restaurants and shops.  Our favorite tasting is the Graham's Tent.

Classic Car Show

LOCATION:   Kane County Courthouse Parking Lot

DATES: Thursdays in July and August from 5pm - 8pm (Excludes July 4)

FEATURES:  Step back in time and join us on Thursday evenings from 5-8 pm during July and August at the historic Kane County Courthouse as car collectors gather together to show off their rides. The audience comes from near and far to enjoy great music and food while they ogle the beauties and vote for their favorite make and model. Please Note: The Chamber will decide by 3 p.m. on the day of the show to cancel the car show in the case of questionable weather conditions. Tour D'Elegance

Celebrate Labor Day weekend at the Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia! The party comes complete with awesome live music, a Car Show, Pie Bake-off, and free kids area! Join us at Peg Bond Center for Block Party, and you'll find the Car Show on N River Street!

Sandwich

Sandwich Fair

LOCATION:  15730 Pratt Road, Sandwich

DATES: September 4 - 8, 2024 

HOURS:   8 a.m.–11 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 8 a.m.–12 a.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday.

FEATURES: The Sandwich Fair, first started as an annual livestock show in DeKalb County. Held yearly, Wednesday–Sunday after Labor Day since 1888, it is one of the oldest continuing county fairs in the state of Illinois. Large crowds stroll throughout the beautiful tree lined grounds, all five days of the fair, which has something of interest for everyone.

TICKETS: Tickets are available at the entrance gate after parking. Parking is included with admission.  Adult $10, Child 6-12 $7, 5 and under is free.

Promotional Days:

Children Free Admission Day- Wednesday, September 4  Children 12 and under are free all day.

Elburn Days

FEATURES: In 1934 the Elburn Lions Club began an annual event known as “A Day in the Park”, which later became known as Elburn Days, running for over 85 years now! Details will be posted as they are available, but plans include a carnival, food and drink, entertainment, parade and more!

DATES: June 21 - 23, 2024

FEATURES:  Like usual, the almighty strawberry is the star attraction at Strawberry Fest. Some of the area’s most popular restaurants, chefs, and vendors will pop-up shop to serve unique strawberry-centric cuisine. Featured items usually include things like strawberry BBQ sauces, deep fried strawberries on a stick, chocolate strawberry popcorn, strawberry kabobs, strawberry jams, strawberry fudge, funnel cakes with strawberries, strawberry smoothies, strawberry blintz, strawberry banana Nutella crepes, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry donuts, strawberry shakes, strawberry ice cream, chocolate strawberry sundaes, and much more. A wide variety of non-strawberry-centric vendors will also be on-hand also dishing out other summertime delights. For those who like to mix it up, Strawberry Fest includes live music and family entertainment. Non-stop tunes, from solo acts to touring bands, on multiple stages will ensure there’s never a dull moment for teens and grown-ups, while complimentary children’s games and activities will capture the kids’ attention just the same. As in year’s past, a classic carnival with everyone’s favorite rides will thrill the young and young at heart.

Frontier Days

LOCATION:  Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner Street, Arlington Heights 

DATES: July 3 - 7, 2024

FEATURES: The Festival features FREE Entertainment on three stages. We have great food prepared and served by volunteers, assisted by local community groups. There are many FREE Family events and Sports Activities along with Carnival rides and one of the largest Fourth of July Parades in the northwest suburbs. One of the Festival’s highlights is the Citizen’s with Disability Day when people with special needs and their immediate families are invited to come to a complimentary, fun-filled, event.

Naperville

Naperville Jaycee's Last Fling

LOCATION:  Downtown Naperville

DATES:  August 30 - September 2, 2024

FEATURES: The Naperville Jaycees' Last Fling is a family-friendly community festival which takes place over Labor Day Weekend near Downtown Naperville and, for many, is a fun way to say farewell to summer! The Last Fling offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages to enjoy including: musicians on multiple stages, Family Fun Land area, a carnival, unique special events, a business expo and a running event.

Naperville Fine Arts and Artisan Festival

LOCATION:  Naper Settlement, 523 S Webster Street

DATES:  June 29 - 30, 2024 from 10am - 5pm

FEATURES:  Since 1959, the club has presented a free art fair in the summer. The longest continuously running art fair in Illinois, this event brings a weekend of art and artistry to Naper Settlement in a free, fun, and family-friendly environment. Held on the weekend after Father’s Day, the event features over 100 artists, a Silent Auction, Empty Bowls fundraiser for food pantries, a free children’s activity tent, an interactive Community Mural, 3D chalk artist, balloon artist, music, and food.

LOCATION:  91 Plank Drive, Oswego

DATES:  June 13 - 16, 2024

HOURS:  Thursday 4pm - 10pm, Friday & Saturday 10am - 11pm and Sunday 1pm - 6pm

FEATURES:  Oswego’s four-day community celebration brought to you by the Oswegoland Park District, generous business sponsors, civic organizations, and hundreds of volunteers. We warmly invite you to be a part of the community celebration. Whether supporting the fest, hosting an event, or participating in the fun, there’s a place for you at your community festival. PrairieFest events are held throughout Oswego with the main festival grounds located at PrairieFest Park, 91 Plank Road, Oswego, IL.

Maple Park

Maple Park Fun Fest

LOCATION:  County Line Road, Maple Park

DATES: August 31 - September 1, 2024 

FEATURES: Craft Show, Car Show, Bags Tournament, Kids’ Bike and Wagon Parade, live entertainment, food vendors, 5K race/2 mile walk, and the Kid Zone, loaded with activities.

Fun Fest is a not-for-profit event, run completely by volunteers. Funds that we raise are mainly used to support the festival the following year, but we also purchase items for the village of Maple Park.

LOCATION:  DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton

FEATURES: Our Markets host antique, vintage, and collectible dealers from throughout the Midwest in indoor buildings, open-air and heated tents. Offered for sale will be a variety of antiques and collectibles, including country furniture, estate jewelry. Victoriana, postcards, art glass and porcelains, advertising items, old toys, vintage clothing and linens, coins, decorator items, paintings, primitives, treasures, and much, much more.

Alley Art Festival

LOCATION:  Water Street Mall & Downer Place, Aurora

FEATURES:  Alley Art Festival is a local, grassroots outdoors art festival typically held at Water Street Mall in downtown Aurora on the last Saturday of August. It’s a day of fun, music, and art – with tons of local artists! ALL AGES

Fox River Arts Ramble 

LOCTION:  Various Locations in the Fox River Valley

FEATURES: The Fox River Arts Ramble is a collaborative effort of the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, the St. Charles Arts Council and Water Street Studios. The event was created in 2018 with the mission of promoting arts and culture in the Fox River Valley. Over 50 artists opened their studios to the public that year! Browse this juried art show featuring photography, woodturning, jewelry, painting, ceramics, fused glass, and more from Midwest artists. Sycamore

Ribs, Rhythm & Brews Fest

LOCATION: Elm Street, Sycamore

DATE:  August 24, 2024 from 5pm - 11pm

FEATURES: 

Bigger and better than ever! More ribs, beer and music! The Fest will be held August 26 from 5 pm to 11 pm downtown Sycamore on Elm Street and City Lot 1 & 2. RR&B Fest consists of award-winning rib vendors from across the region, craft beer, and crowd-pleasing musical entertainment from headliner, Back Country Roads.

Guests can raise their glasses and sip craft beer! Please stay tuned as we announce this years craft beer line-up. Delicious ribs and side dishes will be served up by multiple vendors and compete for the title of RR&B Fest Champion.

Mr. Myers Band opens the fest at 5pm! Back Country Roads have played at events such as Country Thunder and opened for national acts such as Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, David Lee Murphy, Neal McCoy, Steel Magnolia, Keith Anderson and Easton Corbin. They play mostly current Top 40 Country hits, with a few older selections and some originals in the mix as well.  DJ Kris from Behind the Beats will be playing from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

FEATURES: The festival including bands and fireworks are funded through the carnival, food, beverages purchases. Please help fund the event by purchasing. (The Village of Bartlett, Police, and Park District provide financial contribution as well as manpower to support the event).

The festival grounds are located at the corner of ​S. Stearns and S. Bartlett Road near the Bartlett Community Center, 700 S. Bartlett Road.

*No pets are allowed on the festival grounds. Pricing and events are subject to change.

The Bartlett 4th of July Festival includes a carnival with rides and games, food, beverages, FREE entertainment, a Parade, on site presence for non profit groups, fireworks, and a great sense of community pride.

Elgin

Elgin 4th of July Celebration

LOCATION:  Festival Park, 132 S. Grove Avenue, Elgin

DATE:  July 4 , 2024  Parade at 9am, Food trucks at 4pm, Concert at 7pm, Fireworks at 9:20pm

FEATURES: 

The City of Elgin is excited to celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade, concert and fireworks, all occurring on Thursday, July 4, 2024. 

Food trucks suited for various tastes will be parked on Grove street adjacent to Festival Park starting at 4:00 p.m. A free concert featuring various live music acts from across the United States will take place at Festival Park, located at 132 S Grove Avenue at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy this all day event. No outside alcohol or pets will be allowed at the concert and fireworks. The event concludes with a spectacular fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:20 p.m. and lasting approximately 20-30 minutes.

Parade Information 

Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. located at the intersection of Douglas and Slade. The parade concludes at the intersection of Douglas and Highland, near City Hall.

Naperville

Naperville Ale Fest

LOCATION:  Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster, Naperville

DATE:  July 13, 2024 from 1 - 6pm

FEATURES: 

The 2024 Naperville Ale Fest will feature over 100 unique craft beers and some of the area’s favorite food trucks. Situated on the grounds of the Naper Settlement, with downtown Naperville as a backdrop, it's the ideal setting to experience craft beer.

FEE:  $60 per ticket, $70 for early entry.  

What's included with the ticket?
Entrance to the 2024 Naperville Ale Fest - Summer Edition, 18 - 3 oz. samples, access to your favorite food trucks, lawn games, and live music.
