DETAILS: Dress up in your costume and get into the Halloween spirit! Take a nighttime journey through Hickory Knolls’ beautiful oak savanna for safe and spooky - but not scary - nature fun! Along the trail, encounter activity stations complete with hands-on learning experiences and lots of treats! Bring a flashlight and treat bag. Visit with Hickory’s animal ambassadors who can’t wait to see you. Ages 15 & under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Escape the Mansion: Greta’s Greenhouse
LOCATION: Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Rd, Geneva

DETAILS: Escape the Mansion is an escape room-style event that pits groups of 10 people against the clock to see if they can solve a series of challenges, clues, hidden passwords, and more before time runs out. For one night only, the second floor of the Stephen Persinger Recreation Center is transformed into the fictitious Madam Klara’s Mansion, an estate built in 1799 which has been rumored to be haunted and filled with dark magic. Participants will be given a tour of the mansion, featuring a newly discovered room of the building: Gustav’s Game Room, where Gustav has left behind cryptic secrets and hidden clues for you to uncover!

Join us at the DuPage County Historical Museum for Night at the Museum, our annual Halloween Party! Come dressed in your Halloween costumes and enjoy a high-octane evening. Rev up the fun with a flashlight scavenger hunt, fall crafts and snacks. Experience the excitement of Radiator Springs as we screen the Disney Pixar Movie Cars in the auditorium. The DuPage Society of Model Engineers will be doing a train demonstration downstairs. Feel free to sport your favorite racing gear or come dressed as your favorite character! Admission is $20/person.

Monster Madness
LOCATION: Community Park, Lisle
DATE: October 17, 2026, 3PM - 6PM
DETAILS: The event is being held at the South Shelter and tree grove in Community Park and runs from 3-6pm. This is a rain or shine event, and the whole event is outside, so please dress accordingly. Costumes are highly encouraged! There will be porto potties available as well as 2 additional bathrooms off the shelter for use during the event.
Check in: When you arrive, you will check in at the PRE REGISTRATION tent, receive an activity wristband and one orange prize bag per child registered. The event runs from 3-6pm and the check in tent will open at 3pm. Please note siblings under 2 are welcome, but they may not participate in activities.
Creepy Café: We will also have our Creepy Café again this year (for an additional cost per item) with sweet seasonal treats, warm and cold drinks, freshly popped popcorn and pizza! Cash and card are accepted.
Children ages 2-10, come and enjoy a festive autumn fun fair filled with friendly games, ghouls and goodies. Win Halloween prizes and enjoy a snack at the 'Creepy Café.' Be sure to dress up in your Halloween costume!
